About Carol Stream, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Carol Stream is a Chicago Suburb that attracts many types of inhabitants. The commuter convenience is but one of many factors that bring families in from all over to live, work and play. It is close enough to Chicago without having to be within the big city sounds, lights, etc. Those things are fun for some but many want a quieter and safer place to raise their kids. They want to live in the kind of town where kids can ride bikes in the summer and enjoy family-friendly festivities in the winter. This is exactly what Carol Stream has to offer.

In the nearby town of Wheaton, history and culture abound. Perhaps one of the most lovely historical sites in the area is Stacy's Tavern Museum. The facility is a high-quality restoration of a true 1840's wayside inn at its original site on Geneva Road. The inn was built by Moses Stacy and was mainly constructed of wood on a foundation of native boulders. Visitors will see what reality was like in the 1840's, not just for the Stacy relatives but for their company and this is the perfect place to check out with the kids on a cold Illinois day. While you are in Wheaton, check out the DuPage County Historical Museum, as well.

Carol Stream and the surrounding suburbs may not be as big and fancy as Chicago but the towns in this area have a great deal of culture and have some really interesting history in entertainment as well as history.  Glenbard West High School in the nearby town of Glen Ellyn was used as the setting for the movie “Lucas.”  The Fox reality show “Yearbook” was filmed at the high school, as well, and John and Jim Belushi both graduated from there. Glen Ellyn was also in 2008’s “Witless Protection,” with Larry the Cable Guy. In addition, the adjacent town of Bartlett’s Park District presently supports two theatre groups: Bartlett Park District Youth Theatre Troupe (8 - 18 years) and the Bartlett Park District Family Theatre (8 – adult). Wheaton also hosts many cultural and artistic events throughout the year, including: Yuletide Treasures, which is one of the best places to shop for local fine arts.  They also host “Gift to Remember” which is a walk throughout 12 lovely city center stores looking for gifts. The Christmas activities are innumerable – nativity plays, gingerbread contests and so on are a big part of the local culture and community. So, if you can, bundle up and head out to check out a few of the awesome events in the area.
