About Glendale Heights, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Glendale Heights was a small farming community with about 100 residents in 1959 when the village became incorporated.   But, over the next few years, the town would grow when Midland Enterprises began building houses in the area on farmland purchased by the owners. The town was formerly named Glendale but in March 1960, the city voted to to add the term Heights to the town’s name because there was another town in the southern part of the state with the same name.  This commuter suburb was close enough to Chicago to be convenient for work but far enough away to provide safety and peace and quiet.  The seasonal weather means that you can enjoy the sunshine in the summer and snow in the winter but be sure to pack an extra coat if you are visiting in the winter because it does most certainly get cold.

This town is known for its family atmosphere and low-key charm. There are constantly events and festivities, camps and parties for residents. It is particularly lovely in the winter time when the town puts out lights and the Christmas spirit comes alive as the cool winds blow in.  Breakfast with Santa is an opportunity to enjoy a meal with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the decked out Glendale Lakes Golf Club. Two other exciting winter events are the “Daddy Daughter Dance” and the “Mother Son” dance where kids and parents dress up and spend an evening of bonding and fun.

Locals are extremely proud of their history and culture and are always eager to share with newcomers and visitors. The DuPage County Historical Museum is a part of the nearby town of Wheaton’s Park District to offer local history services for historical organizations and for academic activities. History lovers will also want to check out Old Town Bloomingdale and The Bloomingdale Park District Museum. If you’re there in the warmer months (June through September) you can also enjoy the lovely local Farmer’s Market on Thursday afternoons.
